John Loewen

CEO & Founder, ICON Technologies Limited

John Loewen is the founder and CEO of ICON Technologies Limited, a leading North American manufacturer of plastic and composite component parts for the recreational vehicle (RV) industry.

He launched the company in 1998 from a two-car garage in Manitoba, Canada, where he built the first thermoforming machine by hand. Since then, ICON has evolved into a recognized industry leader serving consumer, dealer, distributor, and OEM markets.

Under Loewen’s leadership, ICON has experienced significant growth and now operates out of a state-of-the-art, 288,000-square-foot facility, employing more than 150 people. The company has earned widespread recognition for its innovation and business performance, most notably receiving the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Award for Outstanding Achievement in International Business in 2024.

Loewen credits the company’s success to strategic planning, determination, focus, and a strong commitment to customer service. “You execute… if it doesn’t work the first time around, you don’t quit. You keep going until you get it right,” he says. Beyond ICON’s market presence, he takes pride in the company’s dedicated staff, management team, loyal customer base, and trusted financial partners—all of whom have helped bring his vision to life.
