Ernest Rempel
CEO, Vidir Vertical Storage Solutions
Ernest Rempel is the CEO of Vidir Vertical Storage Solutions, a family company that has been a fixture in Arborg for over 35 years. Vidir was originally launched in 1979 by Willie Dueck as a repair shop for farmers, eventually expanding into a lumberyard.
Dueck and his sons realized there was a need for a storage solution for their lumber business, developing their own carousel storage product. Today, Vidir is still owned by Peter and Sid – it is now an industry leader, and was recognized as one of Manitoba’s top employers in 2024.
