As part of FITTSkills for Manitoba Powered by World Trade Centre Winnipeg, the International Trade Finance course will help you manage your cash flow and mitigate financial risk by selecting appropriate transaction methods and tools for international trade activities. Keep your business on a strong financial foundation by selecting the best options for negotiation terms and non-payment dispute resolution.

What You’ll Learn

Meet the Instructor

Dr. Leroy Lowe

Dr Leroy Lowe is a former Aerospace Engineering Officer and Project Manager who began his career in the Canadian Airforce. He then worked for Sparton of Canada as Director of Business Development where he recruited and managed a diverse network of agents, distributors, and strategic alliance partners in over 20 countries.

He has taught many international business courses at the college and university level over the past 30 years and he has extensive experience working as an international business trainer and as an export development specialist. Indeed, Dr Lowe has conducted a wide variety of training for hundreds of companies, World Trade Center staff, and other trade specialists in Canada and in many other countries, including the Unites States, Canada, Mexico, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Cyprus, Malaysia, and Indonesia. He now serves as a Senior Consultant in Trade Education, for the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) in Canada.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree, a Diploma in Engineering, a master’s degree in Adult Education, an MBA, and a PhD in Biological Sciences. He is also a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP), and an International Chamber of Commerce Certified Trainer of Incoterms 2020. Lastly, he is also the founding President of two NGOs that have spearheaded several cancer and neuroscience research projects (over the past two decades) involving more than 550 scientists in 31 countries.
